Statement from Istanbul Provincial Health Director regarding Sırrı Süreyya Önder
Speaking on the condition of TBMM Deputy Speaker and DEM Party Istanbul MP Sırrı Süreyya Önder, who is continuing his treatment in the hospital, Istanbul Provincial Health Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Abdullah Emre Güner said, "Mr. Sırrı underwent a major operation and is going through a difficult process. We are monitoring him; as doctors, we always have hope. We hope he returns to us as quickly as possible. His life-threatening condition still persists, and I hope he overcomes this process, God willing."

While the condition of TBMM Deputy Speaker and DEM Party Istanbul MP Sırrı Süreyya Önder, who was taken to a private hospital in Şişli on the evening of April 15 due to a heart ailment, remains serious, Istanbul Provincial Health Director Assoc. Making statements regarding Önder's condition, Istanbul Provincial Health Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Güner said, "We wish him a speedy recovery. In fact, with Mr. Sırrı's operation, we have seen how high-level the healthcare service provided in Istanbul is, with the public-private partnership. We are talking about a patient who was reached in 3 minutes and transferred in 7 minutes, and I would like to thank everyone who contributed, as I consider all of them my own team regardless of the public-private distinction regarding the correct hospital selection. Mr. Sırrı underwent a major operation and is going through a difficult process; may God grant him healing, God willing. We are monitoring him; as doctors, we always have hope. We hope he returns to us as quickly as possible. He is going through a difficult process, and his life-threatening condition still persists.
