In a post shared on the Provincial Health Directorate's social media account, it was stated that a clarification was necessary due to allegations circulating on social media platforms claiming that students from Karabük University had presented to hospitals with symptoms of HPV (+) and HIV (+).
The statement, which noted that all diseases concerning public health are closely monitored and regularly recorded in health facilities in Karabük, just as they are across Turkey, included the following:
"There is no significant change in HIV (+) and HPV (+) cases in our province.
Furthermore, there have been no applications to our health facilities regarding this matter in recent days.
Contrary to the allegations that cast suspicion on our healthcare workers, our health system does not permit procedures to be performed without registration."
