Statement from Kılıçdaroğlu's lawyer: 'We will continue to prove the corruption'

Responding to President Erdoğan's filing of a 500,000 TL non-pecuniary damages lawsuit against Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, lawyer Celal Çelik said, "It may be difficult to hear the truth, but we will not take a step back. We will continue to prove the corruption."

President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has filed a 500,000 TL non-pecuniary damages lawsuit against former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu at the Ankara 75th Civil Court of First Instance. 

Erdoğan's lawyer, Hüseyin Aydın, stated that the lawsuit was filed due to the defense Kılıçdaroğlu presented in court. Furthermore, it was announced that a criminal complaint has been filed with the Public Prosecutor's Office on charges of 'insulting a public official'.

KILIÇDAROĞLU'S LAWYER: 'WE ARE RIGHT, WE WILL WIN'

Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu's lawyer, Celal Çelik, reacted sharply to this move by Erdoğan in a statement on his social media account. Çelik stated, "Our Chairman's defense has disturbed Erdoğan. It may be difficult to hear the truth and endure the proving of corruption. However, we will not take a millimeter of a step back. We are right and we will win in the end."

'WE WILL CONTINUE TO USE OUR RIGHT TO PROVE'

Stating that the corruption allegations will continue to be proven, Çelik described Kılıçdaroğlu's defense as a "manifesto." Çelik concluded his statement by saying, "Erdoğan will continue to be upset. Because the facts are clear. We are the ones who are right."
