Statement from MHP's Semih Yalçın regarding the Sinan Ateş case: 'He who laughs last, laughs best'

While 10 of the 22 detained defendants on trial for the murder of former Idealist Hearths (Ülkü Ocakları) President Sinan Ateş in Ankara were released, the next hearing was adjourned to July 19.

MHP Deputy Chairman Semih Yalçın targeted former idealists, the media, and CHP Chairman Özgür Özel over allegations raised against his party in the Sinan Ateş murder trial.

'IT IS VERY WRONG TO CALL SUCH PEOPLE FORMER IDEALISTS'

Regarding former idealists who have recently appeared in the media and made statements about the MHP and the Idealist Hearths, Yalçın said, "Those who are most often referred to as 'former idealists' have lined up against us like a string of beads, on the side of the front of evil formed by the MHP's opponents, the CHP and the DEM Party. Together with our opponents, they are attacking the MHP and our Movement with baseless and unfounded allegations." He added, "It is very wrong to call such people 'former idealists.' For us, it is not the old, but the 'ever-fresh' idealist that is acceptable. There are no longer 'former idealists,' there is a new generation of idealists."

'THE MEDIA HAS ACCELERATED SOCIAL ENGINEERING EFFORTS AGAINST THE MHP'

Yalçın stated, "Recently, our opponents, using a murder trial as an excuse, are both conducting propaganda and perception operations against us and sending the battalions of turncoats and converts they have formed from those who left us to attack us. Certain media outlets, funded by foreign sources and terrorist organizations like FETÖ, PKK, and DAESH—which have been provided with all the technological capabilities of the century by imperialist powers—have accelerated social engineering efforts against the MHP."

'WHAT ÖZGÜR ÖZEL IS DOING IS UGLY AND IMMORAL'

Stating that CHP Chairman Özgür Özel is also closely following the case "like a penniless treasure hunter who has found a mine," Yalçın assessed, "It is certain that this unusual interest from the CHP is an indicator of the traditional anger, malice, and hatred felt toward the MHP and the Nationalist-Idealist Movement within the party. So much so that these spiteful and negative emotions have pushed the CHP leadership into petty calculations. The CHP has pursued petty calculations without considering the end of the matter. Those who make petty calculations and perform petty deeds are destined to remain petty. Those who engage in cheap politics eventually lower their value to that of counterfeit money. The facade of a political counterfeiter is quickly exposed, and those who engage in fraud eventually lose. CHP Chairman Özgür Özel has engaged in political counterfeiting. What he is doing is ugly and immoral."

'HE WHO LAUGHS LAST, LAUGHS BEST'

"When it is revealed over time that the MHP has not the slightest connection to a murder that is being desperately and uglily used as material and fodder for politics, we will wait patiently to see with what honor(!) our opponents will look the public in the face," said Yalçın, adding, "We will patiently wait for the masks to fall and the dark faces to be revealed. We will observe the realization of the proverb 'He who laughs last, laughs best' with moderation and composure."

Yalçın's post on his X account, titled "An open letter to the opponents of the MHP and the Nationalist-Idealist movement," is as follows:

"For years, certain types of people, who have been promoted and hyped with fake and vague titles such as 'Former Idealist,' 'Former Hearth President,' and 'Former MHP Executive,' have been running rampant in the media and on social media in recent days.

It is noteworthy that these same types and individuals are playing an active role alongside our opponents in the increasingly frequent attacks on the MHP, the Nationalist-Idealist Movement, and the Idealist Hearths.

This extraordinary situation not only causes confusion in the public mind about what Idealism and being an MHP member mean, and what the sense of belonging means for Idealists, but also makes it necessary to clarify why the MHP has been at the center of attacks in recent times.

First and foremost, we find it useful to define and analyze certain concepts and explain the reasons for the hostility toward the MHP.

Given the sensitivity of the issue, it would be appropriate to start our assessments with the concept of Idealism.

Idealism has its own unique belief system, continuity, and consciousness.

If belief, consciousness, belonging, and affiliation have aged in Idealism, it means there is a decay for various reasons.

To avoid decay, one must remain on the branch and be nourished by the common source without breaking away from the main body.

The Nationalist-Idealist Movement has a holistic social fabric.

It has its own collective conscience and its own essence.

In the universe of the Turkish nation, it is a massive planet, a source of light and energy.

The Nationalist-Idealist Movement is a sun that produces its own light and energy source.

Those who remain as part of the social fabric that constitutes the Nationalist-Idealist Movement benefit from this energy.

Those who leave have lost their share of the light and energy of the Idealist sun.

Those who sever their physical and spiritual ties—in other words, their heart ties—with our Movement and our cause cannot remain Idealists.

Fragments that move away from the gravitational pull of the Nationalist-Idealist Movement turn into rogue meteors, not knowing which celestial body they will collide with.

The fate of objects and entities left adrift in the universe is to be destroyed by colliding with other planets.

It is a fact that fragments breaking away from the Nationalist-Idealist Movement have, by chance, entered the gravitational pull of other planets and other light sources.

Of course, this is not an astronomical or astrological event, but a sociological phenomenon, and satellite formation is possible in society.

Those who enter the gravitational pull of other planets turn into their satellites.

Therefore, the first condition of remaining an Idealist is not to separate from the strong social structure and gravitational pull of the Nationalist-Idealist Movement.

It is to bind one's existence to the main body with tight ties.

Just as the world cannot be illuminated and living things cannot survive without the sun, one cannot remain an Idealist without receiving energy from the Nationalist-Idealist Movement.

Idealists need the lights of the Nationalist-Idealist Movement to make a fresh start every morning and to refresh their connection with the Idealist world every new day.

Just as the Earth sustains its life by orbiting the sun, those who do not break their connection with the Idealist world remain fresh, resilient, and strong in mind and spirit every day.

The fate of those who sever their ties with the MHP and the Nationalist-Idealist Movement for various reasons or excuses is darkness.

Indeed, those who could not hold on among us and left us have chosen darkness by entering the gravitational field of political centers that have no connection, near or far, to the Nationalist-Idealist Movement.

The general attitude of such people manifests itself in the form of ungrateful reactions such as 'denying one's origin' and 'rejecting one's essence,' like a 'chick that has hatched from its shell and does not like its shell.'

These types, who have no share in being nourished by the abundant sources of the Idealist community, have rushed to be fed at other doors because they have remained chicks in mind, spirit, body, knowledge, and politics.

Some of them attack us from where they are positioned out of concern to vent the dried plums in their hearts, some to dump the stones in their skirts, some to soothe the envy and hatred in their hearts, and some to take revenge.

Such people, for whom the term 'Former Idealist' is most often used, have lined up against us like a string of beads on the side of the front of evil formed by the MHP's opponents, the CHP and the DEM Party.

Together with our opponents, they are attacking the MHP and our Movement with baseless and unfounded allegations.

It is very wrong to call such people 'Former Idealist.'

Because Idealism is an affiliation that does not age.

It is a heart tie that does not break.

An Idealist constantly renews himself as long as he remains loyal and faithful to his community.

Therefore, for us, it is not the old, but the EVER-FRESH IDEALIST that is acceptable.

However, the fundamental condition for possessing the title of Idealist and being—continuously—worthy of this title is loyalty to the cause.

It is not to sever ties with the Nationalist-Idealist Movement and the MHP, in accordance with the political testament of our late leader Alparslan Türkeş.

Loyalty is superior to love, affection, and genetic belonging.

The Nationalist-Idealist Movement, which took shape in the 20th century in the context of the survival of our nation and the continuity of our state, continues its existence with all its majesty in the 21st century, in line with the dynamics of the age.

Under the leadership of our Chairman, Mr. Devlet Bahçeli, a new generation of Idealists has been growing within the robust structure of the Nationalist-Idealist Movement for 27 years.

The ties and connections of all of them to the Idealist community are as strong as steel.

Their continuity is maintained thanks to their will and their loyalty to the community.

This phenomenon of superhuman continuity disturbs and frightens our opponents, our adversaries, and our political rivals.

It is this continuity that has carried the MHP to the position of the touchstone of Turkish political life and the insurance of our national survival.

It is because of this continuity that imperialist moves aimed at dismantling Turkey's unity and integrity and sabotaging its high goals for the 21st century primarily target the MHP.

It is obvious that the rising flag will not be lowered and the call to prayer will not be silenced unless the MHP is neutralized.

It is clear that as long as the MHP exists, the games against Turkey's survival will be thwarted and the plots will be dismantled. Because there are no longer 'former idealists,' there is a new generation of idealists.

Our noble nation has embraced the Nationalist-Idealist Movement, which is the reflection of its own existential reflex in our social life, and its representative in politics, the MHP, for these concrete reasons.

Recently, our opponents, using a murder trial as an excuse, are both conducting propaganda and perception operations against us and sending the battalions of turncoats and converts they have formed from those who left us to attack us.

Certain media outlets, funded by foreign sources and terrorist organizations like FETÖ, PKK, and DAESH—which have been provided with all the technological capabilities of the century by imperialist powers—have accelerated social engineering efforts against the MHP.

On social media, circulation stations and demolition teams have been formed with the aim of tarnishing the MHP and lowering it in the eyes of our nation.

In the internet environment, our opponents, who rely on the lynch culture developed by 'social media aggression,' are working hard to trap the MHP in a spiral of destruction.

Those who have lost their way and broken away from the main body have also been deployed on the front of evil as legionnaires, mercenaries, and pawns.

In other words, all the political remnants that have become alienated from their essence are in synchronized activity with circles hostile to the MHP.

While these people pretend to be 'Former Idealists' or take care to wear this title as a cloak, they do not hesitate to resort to the poisonous, lying, and slanderous language used collectively by our opponents.

Our fellow travelers who serve in party boards, the Council, and the Hearths are being directly targeted by name by the members of the multi-factor, multi-actor, multi-element opposition front against us—in line with the specific instructions of FETÖ members.

While there is no concrete evidence or basis, an extraordinary effort is being made to cast suspicion on the MHP by trying to establish an artificial connection with a murder.

In particular, CHP Chairman Özgür Özel is following the case in question closely, like a penniless treasure hunter who has found a mine.

It is certain that this unusual interest from the CHP is an indicator of the traditional anger, malice, and hatred felt toward the MHP and the Nationalist-Idealist Movement within the party.

So much so that these spiteful and negative emotions have pushed the CHP leadership into petty calculations.

We suggest that he explain the reason why Özgür Özel has left everything aside and focused so intensely on a case that is used as a pretext for attacks on the MHP, instead of addressing the legal problems of our martyrs, veterans, and thousands of families in need of close attention.

We ask:

Has anyone seen Özel interested in any important case for the benefit of society and the good of the Turkish nation?

Undoubtedly, our noble nation is aware that this insidious scenario staged by the amateur chairman of the CHP is a cheap piece of Oriental cunning.

Özel's effort to cast suspicion on the MHP without any concrete basis, hiding behind excuses such as public conscience and political responsibility regarding the case in question, clearly shows how devoid he is of conscience, fairness, and a sense of justice.

Our nation is observing with dismay that the CHP Chairman has turned politics into character assassination and the trade of honor.

Furthermore, our party and our community know well those who wrote this ugly scenario staged before the eyes of our nation, as well as its actors and extras.

What is happening is being followed by us with great sensitivity and meticulousness.

Those who deal with the MHP will not only hit the wall of justice and the rock of the rule of law when the day comes, but they will also tumble into the pit of frustration and regret.

The sun cannot be plastered with mud.

When it is revealed over time that the MHP has not the slightest connection to a murder that is being desperately and uglily used as material and fodder for politics, we will wait patiently to see with what honor(!) our opponents will look the public in the face.

We will patiently wait for the masks to fall and the dark faces to be revealed.

We will observe the realization of the proverb “He who laughs last, laughs best” with moderation and composure.

We will never compromise on our struggle on the path where we are right, our consistent policy, and our determined stance.

We will not allow the Nationalist-Idealist Movement and the MHP to be weakened and neutralized by being smeared with baseless allegations, unfair slander, and accusations.

We know that today's attacks on the MHP will be neither the first nor the last.

We are as sure as our name that, in the end, our Movement and our party will be the winner.
