A statement has been issued by the Presidency of Migration Management regarding the allegations that the Syrians who were attacked in Kayseri would be deported.

The Migration Management stated that the deportation allegations do not reflect the truth.

The statement, which noted that the Syrian family has been sent to another province, included the following remarks:

'The allegations appearing on some news websites and shared on social media accounts, claiming that the Syrians who filed a complaint after being attacked in Kayseri will be deported, absolutely do not reflect the truth.

In the incident that occurred on July 1, 2024, in the Selçuklu neighborhood of Kayseri, a verbal argument took place between Turkish citizens passing by on the street and a 15-year-old Syrian national who was on his home balcony at the time.

As a result of this argument, the Turkish citizens filed a complaint against the Syrian individual on July 5, 2024, alleging that he had insulted them.

Following the complaint, the registration of the Syrian individual, against whom judicial proceedings were initiated, and his family has been moved to a different province in line with their own requests and for security reasons, in order to prevent the escalation of events between the parties, and their transfer is being carried out.'
