Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum stated that the magnitude 6 earthquake that occurred off the coast of Datça, Muğla in the Mediterranean Sea did not cause any damage and that field operations are ongoing.

Reporting that field operations are continuing, Kurum noted the following in a post on his X account:
"Get well soon to all our citizens who felt the magnitude 6 earthquake that occurred off the coast of Datça in the Mediterranean. According to initial assessments by our teams, it has been determined that the earthquake did not cause any damage. Our field operations are ongoing. May God protect our country and our nation from all disasters."
