Geoscientist Prof. Dr. Naci Görür made a statement on his social media account regarding the earthquake, which was also felt in surrounding provinces.
Görür's statement is as follows:
"Friends, a 4.2 earthquake occurred in Elden-Yeşilova/Burdur. The earthquake is likely on the Fethiye-Burdur Fault Zone. This zone is a continuation of the Strabo-Plini Fault."
