Statement from Naci Görür following the earthquake in Kütahya
Geoscientist Prof. Dr. Naci Görür made a statement following the 4.0-magnitude earthquake that occurred in the Gediz district of Kütahya.

AFAD reported that a 4.0-magnitude earthquake occurred in the Gediz district of Kütahya at 11:36.
The tremor, which caused brief panic, was recorded at a depth of 10.3 kilometers.
Following the earthquake, Geoscientist Prof. Dr. Naci Görür made a statement.
In a statement on his X account, Görür noted the following:
"A 4.0 earthquake in Çukurören-Gediz/Kütahya. The earthquake is on the right-lateral, strike-slip Çukurören Fault Zone. The plate on the Aydın-Bozdoğan Horst is sliding northward. N-S tension is developing on it, with grabens, cross-grabens, and strike-slip faults forming, causing the crust to thin and the magma layer to rise."
