Statement from PKK terrorist Duran Kalkan regarding the resolution process: 'We are waiting for the draft prepared by Öcalan'
While legal regulations remain on the agenda during the process the government calls a "Terror-Free Turkey," Duran Kalkan, one of the so-called leaders of the terrorist organization PKK, claimed that a draft law consisting of 7-8 articles is being worked on in İmralı. Kalkan alleged that Abdullah Öcalan provided written suggestions regarding the content of the draft and described Öcalan as the "chief negotiator."

As the second resolution process—architected by MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli and referred to by the government as a Terror-Free Turkey—continues with the DEM Party and the leader of the terrorist organization PKK, Abdullah Öcalan, all eyes have turned to potential legal regulations.
A statement regarding the legal regulations, which are frequently mentioned by the DEM Party and supported by the MHP, has also come from the terrorist organization PKK.
Duran Kalkan, one of the so-called leaders of the terrorist organization, made statements regarding the resolution process during a program he attended.
Stating that work is being done on a draft law consisting of 7-8 articles during the recent contacts in İmralı, Kalkan argued that the process is progressing slowly and used the expression, "There is no information for the public either; we are waiting."
ÖCALAN HAS PROVIDED A DRAFT FOR THE CONTENT OF THE LAW
Stating that there has been no meeting with Öcalan for about a month, Kalkan noted that the last contact took place on May 24. Expressing that it was conveyed during that meeting that a law would be prepared, Kalkan said, "In the last meeting on May 24, it was announced that a law would be prepared, that it would be discussed, finalized, and consolidated immediately after the holiday, and that the text would go to Öcalan and we would also be informed. It was said that it would happen three days after the holiday. It was stated that Öcalan provided a written draft regarding the content of the law. There is still no concrete text in sight. We are waiting. If the law comes to us, we will express our opinions."
CALLED "ÖCALAN THE CHIEF NEGOTIATOR"
Describing Abdullah Öcalan as the chief negotiator of the process, Duran Kalkan also reacted to the phrase "PKK terrorist organization" included in the latest statement of the National Security Council.
Kalkan said the following on the subject:
"It is understood that the National Security Council wants the PKK to continue. However, the PKK has been dissolved. There is not even a change in tone. It has not even been removed from the list. But they are mistaken; we are determined. We have changed the PKK. There will be no turning back. There will be no return to the old PKK. They want it to continue. It will not."
