Due to expected adverse weather conditions in Istanbul, it has been reported that in addition to flight cancellations already made for tomorrow at Sabiha Gökçen International Airport, 15 percent of the remaining flights and 10 percent of flights on February 23 will be canceled.
Sabiha Gökçen International Airport Authority HEAŞ made a statement on the matter following today's meeting of the Meteorological Emergency Committee (MADKOM).
The statement included the information that, "Due to expected adverse meteorological conditions, in addition to the flight cancellations previously made for February 21, 15 percent of the remaining flights and 10 percent of the flights on February 23 will be canceled."
Passengers were advised to follow the latest status of their flights through the websites and call centers of their respective airlines.
In a statement made yesterday, it was reported that 30 percent of flights at Sabiha Gökçen Airport would be canceled on Friday, February 21, due to the adverse weather conditions expected in the city.
