Statement from Sedat Peker following the verdict in the Minguzzi case: Two defendants acquitted
Sedat Peker, who lives in Dubai and is subject to an Interpol red notice for leading an organized crime group, reacted to the verdict in the case of 15-year-old Mattia Ahmet Minguzzi, who was stabbed to death in Kadıköy.

The verdict was announced in the 6th hearing of the case regarding the stabbing death of 15-year-old Mattia Ahmet Minguzzi in Kadıköy, Istanbul.
Of the four defendants under the age of 18 tried in connection with the murder, B.B. and U.B. were sentenced to 24 years in prison—the maximum limit—for the crime of 'intentional murder of a child.'
The other two defendants under the age of 18, M.A.D. and A.Ö., who were accused of aiding and abetting the murder, were acquitted.

Sedat Peker gave a statement on the social media platform X to the ConflictTR account regarding the Minguzzi case, which held its verdict hearing today. Peker stated the following:
"The reactions from the entire public show that the court's decision to sentence two people while acquitting the other two has deeply wounded the conscience of society.
Such situations can trigger the public's instinct to seek their own justice. The Chief Public Prosecutor's Office's appeal against the verdict is valuable and appropriate, as the entire public has stated. As my esteemed lawyer, Ersan Barkın, has noted, we have no doubt that the higher court will overturn this decision."
The Minguzzi family was represented in the case by Ersan Barkın, who is also Sedat Peker's lawyer.
