Rojin Kabaiş, a first-year student in the Child Development Department at Van Yüzüncü Yıl University's Faculty of Education, went missing after leaving her dormitory on September 27. A search operation was launched after no news could be received from Kabaiş. Rojin's lifeless body was found on October 15 on the shore of Mollakasım neighborhood in the İpekyolu district.
Ersan Barkın, the lawyer for organized crime leader Sedat Peker, who lives abroad, said that he spoke with Rojin Kabaiş's father, Nizamettin Kabaiş, today.
Barkın, who also took on the family's legal representation in the Minguzzi case under Peker's instruction, said, "I think Peker will announce it himself; he will share his support for that file with the public by attributing a different meaning to it."
Speaking during a live broadcast on Sözcü TV, Barkın stated, "I spoke with Rojin's father today. I expressed that Mr. Minguzzi's family and I are by their side. Mr. Sedat Peker also said that he would follow the Rojin file to the end. I think he will announce this support in the coming days by attributing a different meaning to it."
HE HAD ALSO TAKEN ON THE MINGUZZI CASE
Barkın had also taken on the legal representation for the case of Mattia Ahmet Minguzzi, who was stabbed to death by a 15-year-old minor.
Minguzzi's mother, Yasemin Minguzzi, had also shared and thanked Peker's wife, Özge Peker, for her message: "I hope they will receive the punishment they deserve before justice. This is my prayer as a mother. May God always be your helper, Ms. Yasemin."
