Governor Murat Zorluoğlu met with members of the press at the Diyarbakır Metropolitan Teacher's House in the Yenişehir district to exchange views on the city's issues.
THE MURDER OF NARİN GÜRAN
Zorluoğlu made a statement regarding the death of Narin Güran, who went missing on August 21 in Tavşantepe Neighborhood of the central Bağlar district and whose lifeless body was found in Eğertutmaz Creek on September 8.
Stating that the administrative investigation regarding Narin Güran concluded with the discovery of the body, Zorluoğlu said, 'From that moment on, the process has been a judicial one. Therefore, a judicial process is underway, coordinated by our Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, in which a deputy chief prosecutor and 4 prosecutors are working and putting in intense effort, with the support of our gendarmerie and police forces. Everyone needs to patiently respect this judicial process. A meticulous study is being carried out. Our colleagues are working diligently to uncover all aspects of the murder. Therefore, we must not act too hastily here. We must wait for this judicial process to be completed in a healthy manner. The matter is a judicial one. It would not be right for us to say too much about a subject where the judicial process is ongoing.'
