In a statement made on the Ministry of National Defense's social media account, it was stated, "Our heroic commandos neutralized 3 PKK/YPG terrorists who attempted an attack to disrupt the environment of peace and security in the Euphrates Shield region."
The National Intelligence Organization (MİT) announced that in an operation carried out in the city of Sulaymaniyah, Iraq, the terrorist Remzi Avcı, codenamed "Çiya Amed," who was on the red list and was the so-called PKK official in charge of the city of Kirkuk, was neutralized.
According to information obtained from security sources, it was reported that the terrorist Remzi Avcı, who joined the PKK in 1992, had been involved in terrorist activities in Syria and Iraq.
