Statement from the Ministry of National Education regarding the 'Private Education Institutions Regulation'
The Ministry of National Education (MEB) stated that a clause in the Private Education Institutions Regulation was misinterpreted by some media outlets, announcing, "According to the provisions of the new regulation, exorbitant prices will not be applied to school fees for transition grades, namely the 1st, 5th, and 9th grades."

In a statement issued by the Ministry of National Education, it was noted, "It has been observed that a clause regarding the Private Education Institutions Regulation published in the Official Gazette today has been misinterpreted by some media outlets.
For their students in intermediate grades, private schools will continue to determine tuition fees for the upcoming academic year based on the (PPI + CPI/2) + 5 formula, as has been the case previously.
According to the provisions of the new regulation, exorbitant prices will not be applied to school fees for transition grades, namely the 1st, 5th, and 9th grades.
When determining fees for services such as books and stationery, uniforms, study sessions, boarding/dormitory, and international diploma and certificate programs for intermediate grades in private schools, the (PPI + CPI/2) formula will be used. (Meal, breakfast, and transportation fees are excluded from this scope)."
