Statement from Yaşar Güler regarding the dissolution of the terrorist organization SDF

Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler stated that the "Terror-Free Turkey" process aims to completely remove terrorism from the country's agenda, describing the framework law accepted in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) as a new threshold. Güler also spoke about the dissolution of the terrorist organization SDF.

Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler made statements regarding the second opening process, which the government calls "Terror-Free Turkey," and the self-dissolution of the SDF, the Syrian branch of the terrorist organization PKK.

Speaking at the Rank Promotion Ceremony, Minister Güler described the framework law prepared within the scope of the process and accepted in the TBMM as a "new threshold."

Güler stated, "The Terror-Free Turkey process, carried out under the leadership of our President, aims to make the security gains we have achieved through this struggle permanent and to completely remove terrorism from the agenda of our country and our nation, never to return."

Stating that the National Solidarity and Integration Coordination Board, established within the scope of the framework law, has held its first meeting, Güler noted that the Ministry will continue to fulfill its duties in coordination with relevant institutions and follow the process.

DISSOLUTION OF THE TERRORIST ORGANIZATION SDF

Commenting on the self-dissolution of the SDF, the Syrian extension of the terrorist organization PKK, Güler said, "Indeed, at the current stage, the terrorist organization SDF-YPG in Syria has announced that it has dissolved its so-called autonomous administration and its affiliated military and civilian structures, and that the process of integrating its elements into the Syrian army has been completed."
