Statement from Yerlikaya's advisor accused of 'leaking information': I do not forgive those responsible

Ergün Yolcu, an advisor to former Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya, has issued a statement on his social media account regarding allegations that he "leaked information from the ministry."

Yolcu, who left his advisory role following Yerlikaya's removal from office, argued that he had been targeted by the public and "certain political circles."

Yolcu stated that he had been subjected to accusations, particularly that he "leaked information to journalists in Ankara," and asserted that these claims were "not based on any concrete evidence."

Sharing a verse from the Quran, Ergün Yolcu said he would exercise all his legal rights against those who leveled these allegations.

Yolcu's statements are as follows:

"For 32 years, I have served my state with loyalty and honor, working day and night. 

Throughout my tenure at the Ministry of Interior, under the vision and leadership of our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, I have strived to announce the services provided to our country by our Interior Minister, Mr. Ali Yerlikaya, and the Ministry of Interior in the most effective and accurate manner to the public.

As a communications professor and consultant, I have worked based on the principles of ethical journalism. However, unfortunately, certain circles are resorting to slander, hoping to benefit from a troll mentality that feeds on ambiguity, disinformation, and gossip. 

The news reports in question, which are slanderous in nature, contain neither a news source, nor a document, nor a single piece of concrete evidence... All of these claims are vile slander. They are entirely base lies, fabrications, and baseless.

Thank God, as someone who knows the procedures and principles of working for the state, I have no accounts that I cannot answer for, and I have never engaged in any activity contrary to the law. 

Those who make these slanders are violating the rights of others during the holy month of Ramadan without relying on any documents or information. 

I would like to specifically remind you not to give credence to this dirty face of the internet and social media that operates with a troll mentality; sharing information where the news source is not clear and transparent only serves to amplify the disinformation produced by dirty circles. 

I will exercise all my legal rights to the fullest extent regarding this smear campaign and character assassination that targets the seriousness of the state, the reputation of our institutions, and my personal honor.

No one can hide behind the shadows after spreading slander."

-Those who invented this grave slander are undoubtedly a group among you. Do not think of it as a bad thing for you; on the contrary, it is good for you. Every person among them will have (the punishment for) the sin they have earned. And he who took the greater part of it (the leadership) among them will have a great torment.
