Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç made statements to journalists in Van regarding the current agenda.
Speaking about the new resolution process, of which MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli is the architect, Minister Tunç said that taking steps toward a Turkey without terror is a common goal for everyone, and noted the following:
"We can say that we are at the dawn, at the threshold of a Turkey without terror. Everyone has certain responsibilities here."
"MUNICIPALITIES MUST ALLOCATE A SHARE IN THEIR BUDGETS FOR THIS ISSUE"
Touching upon the regulation on stray animals, Tunç said the following:
"The problem regarding stray animals continues. Here, let us both keep the animals alive, but let these animals not harm people. There are certain responsibilities brought by the law. Municipalities must allocate a share in their budgets for this issue. We have citizens who have lost their lives due to stray animals.
It is not an acceptable situation in this age that one cannot walk on the street. We will prevent this. The way to make the streets safer is the implementation of the law. A child of ours lost their life in Yüksekova, and most recently, our two-year-old baby Rana lost her life in Konya. Let these not happen again. The judiciary will reveal who has neglected their duty."
