The first statement made after the attack:
"Alparslan teacher would not send him to class without checking his bag, because he was harming himself, and no one expected something this big... The cause of this might be an administrative void, because previously, when a surplus teacher was to be removed from the school, they suddenly removed the principal, two vice-principals, and two of our teachers—five people who were the backbone of this place—and sent them elsewhere based on baseless complaints. We objected to this strongly and tried to make our voices heard, but we couldn't do anything!

The removal of these teachers and the resulting administrative void were major factors in this incident; perhaps if the old administration were here, these things would not have happened.'
