Statement on 'April 25' from Mısra Öz, who lost her son Oğuz Arda Sel in the Çorlu Train Accident: 'Until the real culprits are tried'

The final hearing of the case regarding the train accident that occurred in 2018 in the Çorlu district of Tekirdağ, which claimed the lives of 25 people, including 7 children, and left 328 injured, will be held on April 25. Mısra Öz, mother of Oğuz Arda Sel who lost his life in the accident, said, "We are now expecting a verdict; this trial will not end here. We will continue our journey until the real culprits are tried."

In the 19th hearing of the trial regarding the train disaster that occurred on July 8, 2018, near the village of Sarılar in the Çorlu district of Tekirdağ, which claimed the lives of 25 people, including 7 children, and left more than 300 people injured, no verdict was reached. Families and their lawyers had reacted to the postponement of the hearing.

Before the final hearing, which was postponed to April 25, Mısra Öz, the mother of Oğuz Arda Sel who lost his life in the accident, and Zeliha Bilgin, who lost her sisters named Emel and Derya, her 6-month-old niece Beren, and her 14-year-old daughter Bihter, spoke out.

In her statement, Mısra Öz said, "Unfortunately, they cannot reach a verdict. The prosecution and, in relation to this, our case was postponed to April 25 due to a member judge taking a two-day medical leave during our last hearing. We have no patience left."
