Minister Bayraktar answered questions from members of parliament during the 2024 budget negotiations at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM).
Alparslan Bayraktar stated regarding the daylight saving time practice that it would be more beneficial to implement daylight saving time throughout the year, and said that there would be no transition to winter time.
IT HAS BEEN IMPLEMENTED IN TURKEY FOR 7 YEARS
Across the world, the transition to winter time is made in October, with clocks set back by 1 hour.
Daylight saving and winter time practices, which aim to make more use of daylight, have not been implemented in Turkey since 2016.
