Statement on PKK from the Minister of Justice! 'We are at a turning point'

Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç, in his statement regarding the PKK's decision to lay down arms and dissolve itself, said, "Turkey is at a historic turning point on the path to ridding itself of the scourge of terrorism." Tunç stated, "The leadership of our President Erdoğan and the national stance of Mr. Bahçeli have opened the door to the Century of Turkey."

Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç made a statement regarding the terrorist organization PKK's decision to dissolve itself and lay down its arms.

Minister Tunç said, "We are at an important turning point on the path to ridding ourselves of the scourge of terrorism, which is one of the greatest obstacles to our country's development, unity, and solidarity."

Minister Tunç used the following expressions:

"The honorable struggle that thousands of our patriots have waged at the cost of their lives for the future of our country, the indivisible integrity of our homeland, and the free waving of our flag, combined with the unwavering will of our noble nation, the strong leadership demonstrated by our President Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and the national stance of Mr. Devlet Bahçeli, has paved the way for our country to walk with confident steps toward a peaceful, secure, and stable future on the threshold of the Century of Turkey."

EMPHASIS ON A "TERROR-FREE TURKEY"

Commemorating all the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the fight against terrorism with mercy and gratitude, Minister Tunç said, "I offer my eternal gratitude to our veterans, and I once again wish patience and condolences to the precious families of our martyrs and veterans. Our country will leave the darkness of terrorism behind, and in line with the goal of a 'Terror-Free Turkey,' it will always keep the fundamental values of our Republic alive, continue its march with confident steps on the path of high-standard democracy with commitment to the principle of the Rule of Law, and continue to advance with determination toward the brightness of brotherhood and stability."
