Statement regarding reports of 'monkeypox case detected in İskenderun'

İskenderun District Governor Murat Sefa Demiryürek stated that the claim that "a monkeypox case was detected at the İskenderun State Hospital" does not reflect the truth.

Demiryürek made the following statement on his social media account regarding the mpox virus claim:

"Information circulating on some social media accounts claiming that a monkeypox case has been detected at the İskenderun State Hospital does not reflect the truth. There are no monkeypox patients being diagnosed or treated in hospitals in İskenderun."
