Statement regarding roads to be closed to traffic on June 27

The Ankara Provincial Police Department has announced that, as part of the security measures to be taken for the event to be held at Anadolu Square on June 27 between 18:00 and 21:00, the following roads will be closed to traffic if necessary: starting from 23:59 on June 26, the section of Anıt Street between Turgut Reis Street and Anadolu Square and all roads leading to it; and starting from 12:00 on June 27, 2026, until the end of the event, the section of GMK Boulevard between the Strazburg Street intersection and Anadolu Square and all roads leading to it in both directions, Anıt Street and all roads leading to it in both directions, the section of Gençlik Street between the Akdeniz Street intersection and the Anıt Street intersection and all roads leading to it in both directions, the section of Doğol Street between the Beşevler Junction and Anadolu Square and all roads leading to it in both directions, the section of Kazım Karabekir Street between Istanbul Street and Anadolu Square in both directions, the side variants providing connection from Hipodrom Street to the Train Station side of Kazım Karabekir Street, the section of Hipodrom Street between the Train Station Junction and Mevlana Boulevard in both directions, the side variants providing connection from Hipodrom Street to Kazım Karabekir Street and Anadolu Square, and the side variants providing connection from Celal Bayar Boulevard to Kazım Karabekir Street as well as the side variants providing connection from Kazım Karabekir Street to Celal Bayar Boulevard will be closed to traffic.
In the statement, which advises citizens to use public transportation, it was reported that the Anadolu Square Ankaray Station will remain closed from 13:00 on Saturday, June 27, until the end of the event.
