Stinging jab at Halk TV from the Kılıçdaroğlu camp
Following a report published on Halk TV's website claiming that if Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu were to become chairman again, his first act would be to establish an 'ethics committee,' a series of exchanges took place on social media between Barış Yarkadaş and Halk TV Editor-in-Chief Bengü Şap Babaeker.

Journalist Barış Yarkadaş, known for his proximity to former CHP chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, took a jab at the channel's management in a post following a report published on Halk TV. This development has once again brought internal CHP debates and media relations to the forefront.
The report published on Halk TV's website, which included the claim that Kılıçdaroğlu would prioritize the creation of an 'ethics committee,' was based on a source from a newspaper close to the AK Party. Following the sharing of the report, Barış Yarkadaş made the following statement on the X social media platform: "No, that is not his priority... You will be the first to learn what his first act will be... Your accounting manager will give you the information anyway... You will hear it..."
Yarkadaş's remarks drew a reaction from Halk TV Editor-in-Chief Bengü Şap Babaeker. Babaeker responded to the statement, saying, "Are you going to get journalists fired, Barış? Who are you threatening and with what?"
Barış Yarkadaş made another post following the reaction, stating, "What does that have to do with it? Does the CHP management handle hiring at HALK TV? Does the CHP management decide on layoffs? I wouldn't know if that's how it's been lately, of course... Yours was an interesting confession as well... So, the CHP headquarters decides on both the news/program flow and the hiring. That's why firing people, etc., immediately came to your mind... Interesting..."
