Stock market manipulation operation in 5 provinces centered in Istanbul! Many detained
As part of an investigation into allegations of manipulation in Borsa Istanbul, 10 suspects were apprehended in an operation conducted in 5 provinces centered in Istanbul.

An investigation was launched by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office over allegations of manipulation in certain transactions within the BIST equity market.
Taking action regarding the ongoing investigation, teams from the Istanbul Police Department's Financial Crimes Investigation Branch determined, through Capital Markets Board (SPK) reports, that artificial price movements were created by speculating on certain stocks.
It was determined that the suspects, who were identified as creating artificial price movements through speculation, committed the crimes of "Establishing an Organization for the Purpose of Committing Crimes" and "Information-Based Market Fraud."
Following technical and physical surveillance, the button was pressed for the operation.
In this context, simultaneous raids were carried out in Ankara, Antalya, Samsun, and Kahramanmaraş, centered in Istanbul, targeting the identified suspects. It was announced that 10 manipulators were apprehended and taken into custody during the operations conducted at the designated addresses.
The detained suspects were brought to the police station for questioning. The investigation initiated regarding the individuals in question is ongoing.
