According to the information obtained, a bullet fired from a handgun in the Syrian city of Qamishli fell into the Nusaybin district of Mardin, which is close to the border. Prof. Dr. Ayfer Gözü, who was visiting Nusaybin from Diyarbakır, unfortunately became the target of this bullet.
The stray bullet struck Gözü's body and injured her. Upon notification by citizens who witnessed the incident, medical teams were dispatched to the area, and the injured professor was first treated at Nusaybin State Hospital.
