Street wedding turns into a battlefield
In the Pamukkale district of Denizli, an argument following a street wedding escalated into a knife fight; 20-year-old Ahmet Karaca lost his life, and one person has been arrested.

Events following a street wedding held late at night in the Deliktaş neighborhood of Denizli ended in tragedy. Around 02:00 in the morning, immediately after the wedding, a dispute over "collecting belongings" brought two individuals into conflict. According to allegations, the argument between Ramazan Ülgen and Ahmet Karaca, which began under the influence of alcohol, escalated in a short time.
The tension between the two reached the point of using knives in front of the bewildered onlookers. Both parties were wounded by knives during the altercation. After those at the scene reached 112 Emergency and police teams, medical personnel intervened rapidly.
Ahmet Karaca, who was severely wounded in the abdomen, was taken to Denizli State Hospital by an ambulance that arrived at the scene. However, despite all interventions by doctors, Karaca lost his life at the hospital. Ramazan Ülgen, who was slightly wounded in the hand, was taken under treatment at Pamukkale University Hospital.
After his treatment was completed, Ülgen was taken into custody by the police and referred to the courthouse following his processing at the police station. Ramazan Ülgen was brought before the court, arrested, and sent to prison. A large-scale investigation has been launched in the region following the incident.
