Striking call from İmamoğlu regarding CHP mayors: We are under attack

In a message sent to the CHP rally in Kartal, İBB Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu stated, "The Republican People's Party, with its mayors, administrators, members of parliament, presidential candidate, Chairman, and its institutional existence, is under a total, unlawful attack."

İmamoğlu also sent a letter to the rally in Kartal.

In his letter, İmamoğlu said the following:

“Dear residents of Kartal, my kind-hearted, brave fellow citizens; our country has been in a major political crisis for 4 months. This is a crisis that deepens the severe economic crisis we have been experiencing for years, making everyone poorer and more insecure. The cause of the political crisis we are in is the government trampling on law, democracy, and the national will to avoid leaving the seat it has occupied for 23 years. An exhausted government that offers no hope for the future is using all the state's resources to eliminate its strongest rival. A handful of people who cannot win the hearts of the nation with their actions and services, and who know they can never win a free and fair election, are looking for ways to stay in power through pressure and oppression.”

“The Republican People's Party, with its mayors, administrators, members of parliament, presidential candidate, Chairman, and its institutional existence, is under a total, unlawful attack. It is being subjected to great injustice and complete tyranny. Because the Republican People's Party is the unifying force that will bring together everyone who desires democracy, justice, peace, and prosperity around common values, and will provide the change in government our nation longs for. This power is the power of the nation, and the government's real fear is the nation, the will of the nation. Fear is of no use against destiny. We will put an end to this unjust order established for the interests of a handful of people, all together. We will build a just Turkey together, where no criminal goes unpunished, but not a single person is held in prison unjustly, and where laws are applied equally for everyone.

We will establish justice not only in courts, but in the marketplace, at the workplace, at school, at the hospital, everywhere for everyone. We will ensure justice in access to basic rights such as housing, nutrition, education, and health. We will ensure justice in the income earned and taxes paid. We will not leave anyone at the mercy of the ruthless conditions of the market. Producers and job creators will have the healthiest investment and trade conditions.”
