A 4-story building collapsed on Beyşehir Street in the Selçuk neighborhood of the Selçuklu district. AFAD and fire department teams dispatched to the scene upon notification rescued 2 people alive, while Konya Governor İbrahim Akın announced that they estimate 5 people from the same family remain under the rubble.

Akın stated, "All our efforts are directed toward rescuing the individuals reported to be under the structure. The information we received from the 2 friends who came out from inside is that there are 5 people from their own family inside."
