Striking comment from Zafer Party Chairman Ümit Özdağ on Kılıçdaroğlu's 'purification' call: It must be angering the voters

Speaking after the video released by Kılıçdaroğlu today, which drew reactions, Özdağ stated, "Kılıçdaroğlu's call angers the voters; if I were him, I would sit down and write a book."

Özdağ evaluated Kılıçdaroğlu's controversial video on Sözcü TV.

Zafer Party Chairman Özdağ said, "Every morning, Republican People's Party voters wake up to hear about how operations are being conducted against their party. They see how mayors are resigning from the Republican People's Party under pressure. In such an environment, the former chairman's statement that 'the Republican People's Party must be purified' is likely angering CHP voters. Kılıçdaroğlu's call angers the voters; if I were him, I would sit down and write a book." he said.

PURIFICATION CALL FROM KILIÇDAROĞLU

In a social media post today, Kılıçdaroğlu had used the following expressions: 

"My dear friends, my brave fellow travelers and comrades, and the noble citizens of this beautiful country who possess a conscience..."

The future of a nation is shaped by the wisdom, conscience, and morality of its politics. The nation's honest tables are blessed by clean politics. Because corrupted politics first rots the conscience, then destroys morality, and finally sets its sights on the nation's bread.

There can be no betrayal of a spirit. The Republican People's Party is not an inheritance left to us. Our party is a sacred trust to us. A trust cannot be dirtied, a trust cannot be slandered.

My brothers and sisters, especially in the shadow of this great plane tree, there can never be a shelter for the forbidden and the corrupted. When necessary, it knows how to purify itself, it knows how to conduct its internal accounting, but it does not turn back from its path. Because this march is a march to power.
