Striking criticism from AKP's Tayyar on CHP's action plan: 'What difference does it make if he quits or not?'
With operations against CHP mayors gaining momentum once again, the steps the party will take are being closely monitored. While CHP Chairman Özgür Özel mentions the action plans his party will implement at every opportunity, a striking criticism of these plans has come from AKP's Şamil Tayyar.

With the detention of the CHP mayor of Bursa, the agenda has returned to political developments, and the steps the CHP will take on this issue are being closely followed.
While CHP Chairman Özgür Özel renews his calls for early elections to react to the events, striking criticisms regarding the CHP's action plans have come from AKP's Tayyar.
Here is that post by Şamil Tayyar:
"The CHP base was expecting an effective and strategic stance from the leadership against the municipal operations.
What came out of CHP Chairman Özgür Özel's bag was a formula for early and by-elections.
Both are null and void for the government and are old proposals.
Why should they go now when there are 2 years left until the elections?
Can the promise that Özel will quit politics if he loses be a bet worth taking a risk for the government?
What difference does it make if he quits politics or not?
The acceptance of the necessary parliamentary resignations for a by-election also depends on the consent of the government majority.
For this reason, Özel will meet with the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) to seek assurances regarding the acceptance of the resignations.
An action plan cannot be derived from these proposals.
Action is not developed with the consent of the government one is reacting against; it is taken in spite of the government.
Furthermore, one cannot claim victimhood from corruption files.
If you do not prick yourself with the needle before poking others with the awl, you cannot find a way out.
It is that simple."
