According to information obtained from FETÖ sources, Fetullah Gülen has passed away at the age of 83.
According to the statement, it was reported that the FETÖ leader died at approximately 21:20 Turkish time.
It was stated that Fetullah Gülen had been taken to a hospital the previous evening and passed away there. Sources close to the FETÖ ringleader also confirmed the news of Gülen's death.

It did not go unnoticed that Fetullah Gülen died on October 20, the date the Ergenekon plot began.
The first indictment in the conspiracy cases carried out by FETÖ was prepared by FETÖ-affiliated prosecutors Zekeriya Öz, Mehmet Ali Pekgüzel, and Nihat Taşkın. The case with 86 defendants was opened on July 25, 2008. The first hearing was held on October 20, 2008, in the courtroom at Silivri Prison.
As a result of the conspiracy cases, 235 people were tried on charges of "establishing and managing an organization." In the subsequent process, the Istanbul 4th High Criminal Court acquitted all defendants who were tried on charges of "establishing and managing an organization" in the 235-defendant Ergenekon case.
