Pro-government commentator Cem Küçük spoke with Baltaş's lawyer, Ümit Karadağ.
Karadağ stated that his client sometimes did this as a precaution against theft while transporting money.

"Mr. Atilla has been a customer of Denizbank in Florya for years. He has worked with Seçil Erzan for years. He continued to work with her when she moved to the Levent branch.
