Striking statements have come from Server Leventoğlu, a businessman who had a five-year affair with judge G.A., who served in Adana.
Stating that he was threatened by the suspended judge, Leventoğlu said, "She is trying to force me to commit suicide. The moment I learned that this woman was contacting certain people and letting herself be used, I wanted to end it. Her husband consented to this relationship."
"YOU ARE A STRONG MAN, I WANT YOU TO PROTECT ME"
Judge G.A., who is married and a mother of one, began a relationship with Server Leventoğlu, the manager of the apartment complex where she lived as a tenant in Adana, after meeting him in September 2019. One day, the judge told Leventoğlu, "I have some problems. You are a strong man, I want you to help me. I previously served in Edirne. While I was serving there, bribery allegations were made against me, and they said I committed forgery. I want you to save me from these accusations, close my files, and protect me from those people."
THREATENED AFTER ENDING THE RELATIONSHIP
Following this, Leventoğlu, who had an affair with the judge for about 5 years, recorded videos of their sexual encounters and shared them with each other. Upon learning that the judge was also having relationships with other men in exchange for favors, Server Leventoğlu wanted to break up. Leventoğlu called the judge, told her to end their 5-year relationship and not to contact him, and warned that otherwise, he would file a complaint with the Public Prosecutor's Office.
"BE CAREFUL, YOU COULD BE KILLED"
Two people who met Leventoğlu at a workplace in the Galericiler Sitesi (Galleria Site) said, "We heard you have videos of the judge, you need to delete them. You could be killed while entering or leaving your workplace; others will do these jobs." Upon this, Leventoğlu filed a complaint against the judge. Following Server Leventoğlu's complaint, the 1st Chamber of the Council of Judges and Prosecutors (HSK) granted permission for an investigation into the judge. It was alleged that the judge received a 500 million lira bribe in exchange for acquitting a defendant being tried in the Osmaniye Criminal Court of First Instance on charges of "fuel smuggling."
"DON'T WORRY, WE WILL GET AN ACQUITTAL"
It was revealed that the judge had requested 500 million lira from the person on trial, stating that Public Prosecutor F.A., with whom she had served in Edirne, would present an acquittal opinion at the hearing and ensure an acquittal verdict, and that she received the money in cash. Although that Public Prosecutor requested an acquittal for the defendant, a verdict was not reached in that session, and in the following session, another Public Prosecutor presented a conviction opinion, resulting in a sentence. When the defendant told the judge that he had both paid the money and received a sentence, it was alleged that the judge said, "Don't worry, we will get an acquittal during the appellate process."
OBTAINED DRUGS FROM JUDICIAL CUSTODY
It was also determined that the judge obtained drugs with narcotic properties from a private hospital without a prescription and used them, that she changed her duty shift by consulting with another judge because she used pills containing methamphetamine that she had taken from judicial custody during a weekend she was on duty during the pandemic, and that she held a party with a Deputy Chief Public Prosecutor, a High Criminal Court Judge, and a Criminal Court of First Instance Judge, where they drank alcohol and used the methamphetamine known as drugs that the Deputy Chief Public Prosecutor had removed from the judicial custody warehouse.
JUDGE DISMISSED
The Ministry of Justice announced that the judge had been suspended and dismissed due to another file.
The statement made by the Ministry included the following:
"Judge G.A., who was stated to have been involved in threats and blackmail while serving at the Adana Courthouse, has been suspended due to these actions committed by using the influence and reputation of her profession, and has been dismissed due to another file."
"I DIDN'T KNOW SHE WAS MARRIED, I LEARNED LATER"
Businessman Server Leventoğlu said, "She saw me as strong and got close to me. She offered to have dinner with me. She started crying after dinner. Then our relationship began. Our relationship lasted 4-5 years. At first, I didn't know she was married, but later I learned she had a husband. She constantly asked me for help."
"HER HUSBAND CONSENTED TO THIS RELATIONSHIP"
Claiming that traps were set for him by the judge, Leventoğlu said, "I went and filed a criminal complaint with the prosecutor's office. Her husband consented to this relationship. We even set up a company for her son. Even today, the judge calls and threatens me. She is trying to force me to commit suicide. The moment I learned that this woman was contacting certain people and letting herself be used, I wanted to end it. I couldn't stomach such a relationship."
