A comprehensive investigation was launched by the Istanbul Police Department's Public Security Branch following a missing person report filed by the family of S.E. (32) with the Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office on February 6. Investigations revealed that S.E. had entered Turkey on December 28, 2025, and was staying at an address in Ümraniye; her family had not heard from her since January 23. As a result of the ongoing efforts, the last known address of S.E. was identified. The investigation was deepened upon determining that this address was the same house where Durdona Khokimova (37), who was murdered in Ümraniye on January 24 and whose body was dumped in a container in Şişli inside a suitcase, had been killed.

An examination of security camera footage determined that S.E. entered the residence on January 23, and that D.A.U.T. (31) and G.A.K. (29), identified as the murder suspects of Khokimova, arrived at the address shortly thereafter. Research indicated that S.E. and Khokimova had lived in the same house with D.A.U.T. and G.A.K. for approximately one month, and that S.E. and G.A.K. were in a romantic relationship.

Technical surveillance and camera analysis showed that on January 24, the suspects left the house multiple times with black trash bags and returned, and that upon their final return, they arrived with a white suitcase. It was determined that the suspects, who left the house again with the same suitcase a short time later, traveled to Fatih by taxi, left the contents of the suitcase in a trash container, and then proceeded on foot to the Yenikapı Marmaray Station.

Within the scope of the ongoing investigation, interviews with D.A.U.T. and G.A.K., who are currently in custody for the murder of Durdona Khokimova, revealed that S.E. was killed in the same house on January 23 with a sharp object and that her body was dismembered and left in trash containers at different locations. Thus, it was established that the missing person report was linked to a second murder case.

D.A.U.T. and G.A.K., who were taken from prison and detained under the prosecutor's instructions, have been processed for the crime of "intentional homicide." It was learned that the suspects will be referred to the courthouse on February 13.
