Writer Mümtazer Türköne, known for his proximity to Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, has made striking assessments regarding the new reconciliation process and the relationship between the AKP and MHP.

Speaking to Cansu Çamlıbel from T24, according to Mümtazer Türköne, MHP leader Bahçeli will take the country to an early election following AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's move to prune the new reconciliation process.
“Bahçeli and Öcalan are constructing a new nation-state; this is what the reconciliation process is,” said Mümtazer Türköne, adding, “Every stage reached in the reconciliation process so far has been due to Bahçeli's pressure, while Erdoğan's plan is to stall. If an election happens and the CHP comes to power, the rule of law will return on its own. If there is no other alternative left to make the reconciliation process successful, Bahçeli will pave the way for this.”
