Striking poll one year before US elections: Biden falls behind Trump in 5 key states he previously won
A new poll conducted in the US has revealed that President Joe Biden is trailing former President Donald Trump in 5 out of 6 battleground states where he won the majority of votes in the 2020 presidential election.

According to the New York Times/Siena College poll, with about a year left until the 2024 US presidential election, Trump is leading in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Georgia, Nevada, and Arizona—states that Biden won in the last election.
According to the poll conducted between October 22 and November 3, Trump, who is leading the race among Republican primary candidates by a wide margin, is ahead by 3 to 9 points in these states.
According to the poll results, Trump leads Biden 48 percent to 44 percent in Pennsylvania, 48 percent to 43 percent in Michigan, and 49 percent to 44 percent in Arizona.
Trump also outperformed Biden by 6 points (49 percent to 43 percent) in Georgia, the state where he was accused of interfering with election results during the 2020 presidential race.
The state where Donald Trump leads President Biden by the largest margin is Nevada, where he is ahead by 9 points (52 percent to 41 percent).
Among these states, Biden was only able to maintain a lead over Trump in Wisconsin, with a 2-point margin (47 percent to 45 percent).
PARTICIPANTS CONCERNED ABOUT BIDEN'S AGE
While most American citizens participating in the poll stated that they find 77-year-old Trump mentally fit, they expressed "concern" regarding Biden's advanced age.
Approximately 71 percent of voters stated that they "somewhat agree" that Biden is "too old to be an effective president."
Only 39 percent of voters said the same for Trump.
Furthermore, when asked whether Trump has the "mental sharpness to be an effective president," 52 percent of participants answered "yes," while this rate remained at 35 percent for Biden on the same issue.
