Striking remarks from Özer Sencar: 'CHP could gift the election again'

MetroPOLL Research Company manager Özer Sencar criticized polling companies and the CHP's election strategies, issuing warnings. Addressing the CHP, Sencar said, 'You do not know Erdoğan or the public,' and warned that the next elections could be lost.

Sharing a series of messages on his X account, Sencar recalled the events of the 2023 presidential elections, stating that his warnings at the time were not taken into account.

Sencar had said before the 2023 elections that President Erdoğan could win, and MetroPOLL Research's studies had found that Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu was trailing behind Erdoğan.

Sencar said, 'Before the presidential election, we kept saying for 2 years that KK was not the right candidate and that KK was Erdoğan's preference.' 

Sencar had criticized the strategy followed by the opposition for the 2023 elections in programs he attended and in posts on his X account.

'YOU CANNOT COME TO POWER WITH DESK-BASED FINDINGS'

In his posts on his X account, Sencar claimed that the CHP focuses its analysis on polls, and made the following remarks regarding the possibility of the main opposition party coming to power in the next elections:

'You cannot come to power or consistently remain in first place with the efforts of mercenaries and desk-based findings.'

Sencar also criticized the CHP's methods of evaluating polls, saying:

'When you encounter an unexpected situation, the right question you should ask us is not "why are you showing us this way?" but "why did we encounter such a result?"'

Criticizing the CHP management for 'foolishness,' Sencar emphasized the possibility that the elections could be lost due to the CHP's mistakes.

Referring to CHP members, Sencar continued his posts by saying, 'A segment of left-wing circles who think they know politics well and speak as such, gifted the presidency to Erdoğan for another five years with this foolishness. If they continue with this mindset, one should not be surprised if they gift the presidency for another five years.'

Pointing out that local elections and general elections have different dynamics, Sencar wrote, 'The dynamics that affect general elections and local elections are very different. Where will you get with political figures who do not even know or think about this reality.'
