Strong downpours and thunderstorms expected in the Black Sea region: Meteorology issues warning

The General Directorate of Meteorology has announced that downpours and thunderstorms, which will be effective in the Central Black Sea region this afternoon and evening, will be locally strong, particularly in the eastern parts of Samsun and the northern areas of Ordu and Giresun.

Furthermore, in the Western Black Sea region, downpours are expected to increase in intensity locally starting from nighttime hours in the vicinity of Düzce, Zonguldak, and Bartın, as well as in the eastern parts of Sakarya and the northern sections of Bolu and Karabük. Meteorological data emphasizes the need to be cautious against adverse weather conditions in these regions, such as flash floods, water inundation, lightning, local hail, and strong winds.

Experts have issued warnings to farmers working in agricultural fields, citizens who will be outdoors, and drivers, advising them to take precautions against potential flooding. Additionally, it is noted that weather conditions can change suddenly, and it is important for everyone in the region to follow the latest weather forecasts.
