Strong lodos warning for the Marmara and North Aegean regions!

According to the statement made by the General Directorate of Meteorology, strong lodos (southwesterly winds) are expected tomorrow in the western part of the Marmara region and the North Aegean.

The General Directorate of Meteorology has reported that strong winds are expected tomorrow in the vicinity of Edirne, Kırklareli, Çanakkale, Balıkesir, Tekirdağ, İstanbul, and Bursa, with occasional short-term storms in the higher elevations of these provinces. Strong lodos is expected in the western Marmara and North Aegean regions starting from tomorrow morning.

The wind is forecast to blow from the south and southwest, reaching strong levels and occasionally storm force in the vicinity of Edirne, Kırklareli, Çanakkale, and Balıkesir, and blowing strongly in the vicinity of Tekirdağ, İstanbul, and Bursa. Additionally, short-term storm conditions may be observed in the higher elevations of these provinces.

Due to the strong lodos, which is expected to lose its effect after noon on Sunday, citizens are advised to be cautious against potential disruptions to transportation, as well as incidents such as falling trees and utility poles. Furthermore, precautions are recommended against carbon monoxide poisoning originating from stoves and natural gas heaters.
