Strong storm alert in Istanbul!

The General Directorate of Meteorology has released its latest weather forecast report. A strong storm is expected in Istanbul starting from the evening hours. The storm will manifest as winds blowing at speeds of 50-75 kilometers per hour. Precipitation is expected to be heavy in the northern parts of Kırklareli starting from the night hours.

According to the latest assessments by the General Directorate of Meteorology, rainy weather is expected in the vicinity of Edirne and Kırklareli, the eastern parts of Ağrı and Van, and the western districts of Balıkesir.

The precipitation, which will appear as sleet and snow in the east of Ağrı and Van and as rain and showers in other regions, is expected to be locally heavy, especially in the northern parts of Kırklareli after the night hours. It was stated that haze and occasional fog may occur in Thrace, as well as in the interior and eastern parts during the morning and night hours.

Air temperatures across the country are expected to remain above seasonal norms. However, it was emphasized that caution and measures should be taken against possible disruptions in transportation due to the heavy rainfall expected in the northern parts of Kırklareli starting from the night hours.

In the west of Marmara and the North Aegean region, winds are expected to blow as a storm at force 6 to 8 (50-75 km/h) from the south and southeast, and over time from the southwest, starting from the afternoon hours. It was reported that the storm is expected to lose its effect in the early hours of Friday.
