The Istanbul Governor's Office has issued a warning to citizens regarding strong winds and storms, based on weather forecast data from the General Directorate of Meteorology.

The statement included the following: "Strong winds and storms are expected in our region. According to the General Directorate of Meteorology, the ongoing strong winds and storms are expected to blow from the north and northeast until the night hours of Thursday, August 14, in Istanbul, Edirne, Kırklareli, Tekirdağ, Yalova, and the western districts of Kocaeli, at speeds of 40-60 km/h, and locally 60-80 km/h.

Citizens should be careful and take precautions against potential disruptions such as transportation delays, roof damage, and fallen trees," the statement read.
