Speaking about the goal of a Turkey without terrorism, Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş stated, 'This process is not the issue of any single party. This process is Turkey's issue; if it succeeds, all of Turkey will have succeeded.'
"IT WILL REACH SUCCESS"
Regarding the goal of a Turkey without terrorism, Kurtulmuş said, 'Our commission work in the TBMM (Grand National Assembly of Turkey) is almost complete. The number one issue for the commission is to follow the process regarding the laying down of arms and the dissolution of the terrorist organization on behalf of the TBMM and the national will. Everyone who says 'let terrorism end' should support the process. We will manage this process with good intentions, openly and transparently. This process will reach success in the end.'
AKP Deputy Chairman and Party Spokesperson Ömer Çelik stated, "At the current stage, a critical threshold has been crossed to reach the goal of a 'Turkey without terrorism'."
In a statement he made on his social media account regarding the PKK terrorist organization laying down its arms, Çelik stated that the first step regarding the process of destroying and surrendering weapons by the PKK has been taken in line with the goal of a "Turkey without terrorism".
Stating that "With the historic call of Mr. Devlet Bahçeli and the state will put forward by our President, the determination to open a historic page for Turkey to get rid of the burden of terrorism is progressing with strength," Çelik noted the following:
"Reaching the goal of a 'Turkey without terrorism' will ensure that our country is freed from the burden of terrorism and that our nearby region reaches the goal of a 'region without terrorism'. The visit traffic and consultation process between the DEM Party and other parties contribute greatly to the sensitivities shown for the process to reach its goals. With the activation of the will of the Grand National Assembly to provide a basis for the process, the contributions of all political parties in the Assembly will materialize. Under the instructions of our President, state institutions continue to carry out comprehensive work in all areas, especially diplomacy, intelligence, and security, to reach the goal of a 'Turkey without terrorism'."
Pointing out that all kinds of attacks against the country and national sovereignty that have been going on for many years have been rendered unsuccessful through the unique sacrifices of the noble martyrs and heroic veterans, Ömer Çelik emphasized that the separatist terror's ambitions against the country have not been allowed to pass.
"A CRITICAL THRESHOLD HAS BEEN CROSSED"
Expressing that the principle of "One nation, one people, one state, one flag" is protected under all conditions thanks to the martyrs, whom they always remember with mercy and gratitude, and the heroic veterans who fulfilled the defense of the homeland with unique sacrifices, Çelik made the following assessment:
"At the current stage, a critical threshold has been crossed to reach the goal of a 'Turkey without terrorism'. From now on, the process of dissolving the PKK with all its branches and illegal structures and the burning and surrender of weapons must be completed in a short time. The state of vigilance against all kinds of provocations continues so that this process, which is being carried out as a state project with the will of our President, can achieve its goals. The will that will disrupt the malicious political projects of those who use terrorism as a tool for 'proxy wars' and approach our region with imperialist goals is the will for a 'Turkey without terrorism' and its being a source of inspiration for the 'region without terrorism' understanding."
Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stated the following:
"Today, a very important and gratifying step has been taken in line with the goal of a Turkey without terrorism.
It is our nation's common wish that this auspicious development evolves into a process that will ensure the permanent eradication of terrorism.
Our President has shown historic leadership and, together with MHP Chairman Mr. Devlet Bahçeli, has put forward a strong and determined will. I congratulate all our state officials who are making efforts to implement this will.
We will continue to remain vigilant until the KCK, with all its components and elements, ceases to be a threat to our country, our nation, and our geography.
"STEPS ARE BEING TAKEN ONE AFTER ANOTHER"
Presidential Communications Director Burhanettin Duran stated, "Under the leadership of our President, steps are being taken one after another that will carry our country to prosperous tomorrows and lead us to our goal of a 'Turkey without terrorism'. Turkey will be stronger in tomorrows without terrorism, and by strengthening its unity and solidarity, it will certainly reach the goals of the Century of Turkey."
In a post on his social media account regarding the PKK terrorist organization laying down its arms, Duran noted the following:
"Under the leadership of our President, steps are being taken one after another that will carry our country to prosperous tomorrows and lead us to our goal of a 'Turkey without terrorism'. Turkey will be stronger in tomorrows without terrorism, and by strengthening its unity and solidarity, it will certainly reach the goals of the Century of Turkey."
"ANOTHER IMPORTANT THRESHOLD HAS BEEN CROSSED"
AKP Deputy Chairman Efkan Ala stated, "A Turkey that has untied the shackles of terrorism will walk with confident steps towards the common future of 86 million."
In a post on his social media account, Ala made an assessment regarding the PKK terrorist organization laying down its arms.
Stating that with the start of the process of laying down and surrendering weapons by the organization today, another critical and important threshold has been crossed in line with the goal of a "Turkey without terrorism", Ala noted: "This important stage has been reached thanks to the determined and resolute will put forward by our President Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and MHP Chairman Mr. Devlet Bahçeli, the contributions of our supporting political parties, and the strength given by our noble nation.
At this stage, a great duty falls to every segment for the process to be successfully concluded as targeted. Considering the developments in our region, it is extremely clear how critical and important every step to be taken to ensure the brotherhood, peace, and security of 86 million in Turkey is. The work carried out with great care and sensitivity until today will continue with the same meticulousness from now on. A Turkey that has untied the shackles of terrorism will walk with confident steps towards the common future of 86 million.
"WE WELCOME IT WITH SATISFACTION"
CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, in a statement on his social media account regarding the PKK terrorist organization laying down its arms, stated that the CHP rejects all kinds of terrorism and violence with historical consistency.
Emphasizing that his party stands for peace, Özel said, "The permanent end of terrorism, which has cost our country very heavy prices, is our common will. We welcome the terrorist organization's symbolic step of laying down arms today with satisfaction. We thank all politicians and all officials, especially the late Sırrı Süreyya Önder, who had efforts and contributions in bringing the process to this point. We hope that this step will be the beginning of a period where weapons will be completely silent. This process must be managed with fast and determined steps, without excluding any party or any segment of society, without hiding anything from the nation, under the roof of the Parliament, and by observing social consensus."
Pointing out that the establishment of a full environment of peace in Turkey will only be possible with justice and democracy, Özel noted: "An environment where trustees are appointed in place of elected mayors, investigations that consider it a crime for Kurds to enter municipal councils continue, elected politicians are kept in prison through extra-legal methods, and democratic competition is crippled is the arch-enemy of social peace and the biggest obstacle in front of the effort to fortify our internal front. What our country needs is a 'Turkey without terrorism and with democracy'. Peace is necessary for prosperity, unity for peace, and democracy and justice for unity. We will continue to contribute to and fight for peace for our common future with determination."
Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç stated that the terrorist organization, which has been the biggest obstacle to Turkey's peace, unity, and development for years, laying down and burning its weapons is one of the most important steps on the path to the ideal of a "Turkey without terrorism".
"Today, the dagger stuck into our thousand-year brotherhood is being removed. The sedition of discrimination, which was inserted among our noble nation by imperialists and their subcontractors, is being uprooted with the permission of Allah and the determined stance of our President Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and MHP leader Mr. Devlet Bahçeli, and the resilience of our noble nation," Tunç said, noting the following:
"WE WILL FURTHER INCREASE OUR UNITY AND SOLIDARITY"
"Turkey, which has gotten rid of the scourge of terrorism, will now spend its energy on stability, development, and prosperity. With the terrorist organization completely laying down its arms, we will all experience the honor of leaving a safer and more peaceful country to our future generations. We are the branches of a great plane tree with the deepest roots. From now on, we will further increase and strengthen our unity, our solidarity, and our brotherhood."
Emphasizing that with the realization of the "Turkey without terrorism" goal, the Century of Turkey will be built more strongly, and that they will carry a greater Turkey, developed in every field, into the future with a spirit of brotherhood, Tunç remembered the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the homeland, flag, and nation with mercy and gratitude.
Conveying his respect and homage to the veterans for the sacrifices they have shown, Tunç included the statement, "We express our gratitude to everyone who has had effort and exertion, especially our President Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Mr. Devlet Bahçeli, who worked day and night saying 'Turkey first, our nation first' on the path to realizing our 'Turkey without terrorism' goal."
Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya also stated that they are witnessing a historic day in the goal of a "Turkey without terrorism", and that the PKK terrorist organization has taken the first step in the process of destroying and surrendering its weapons.
Stating that in the process, which took place under the leadership of President Erdoğan and with the historic call and determination of MHP Chairman Bahçeli, words will now be spoken instead of weapons, Yerlikaya shared the following views:
"NOT FEAR, BUT HOPE WILL GROW"
"Not fear, but hope will grow. I thank everyone who supports this historic process and grows our brotherhood with their prayers. Let it not be forgotten that we did not come to these lands yesterday. We did not start living together yesterday. We are a nation that became one in the army of Sultan Saladin, gathered in the army of Sultan Alparslan, made Çanakkale impassable, and has one joy, one sorrow, and one destiny. The bonds between this nation are bonds of the heart, bonds of life. In the yeast of this nation, there is Manzikert, there is Çanakkale, there are our values, there is our faith."
Noting that a "Turkey without terrorism" is at the forefront of the biggest steps taken on the path to a great and strong Turkey, Yerlikaya made the assessment that a "Turkey without terrorism" is the shining star of the Century of Turkey vision and the victory of the belief in brotherhood.
"Turkey has come even closer to tomorrows without terrorism"
Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin stated that a new Turkey has been built since 2002, where bans have been lifted and brotherhood has been strengthened through reforms carried out under the leadership of President Erdoğan.
"From the end of the state of emergency regime to our citizens returning to their villages, from cultural rights regarding Kurdish to TRT Kürdi, from chairs opened in universities to elective courses, many steps were implemented with determination and the process was woven stitch by stitch," Tekin said, noting the following:
"WE ARE WALKING TOWARDS A STRONGER TURKEY"
"While fighting against tutelage and discrimination, a libertarian, democratic climate was established. A Turkey where everyone can live together with their faith, language, and identity has become a reality. And today, with the PKK terrorist organization laying down its arms, another historic threshold has been crossed in this long journey. Turkey has come even closer to tomorrows without terrorism. This success was possible with the determination of our nation and the resilience of our state. In this process, I express my gratitude to everyone who contributed, especially our President Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and MHP Chairman Mr. Devlet Bahçeli, and I remember our noble martyrs with mercy and our heroic veterans with gratitude. We are walking towards a stronger Turkey together."
Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy also expressed that the common will, shaped by the leadership of President Erdoğan and the determined stance of Bahçeli, has started a new and strong process against terrorism.
Emphasizing that every step taken with the goal of a Turkey cleared of terrorism is laying the foundation for permanent peace and stable tomorrows by combining with the nation's faith and the state's determination, Ersoy stated, "This strong unity opens the doors to a safe and prosperous Turkey. We are now on the threshold of a new era. The era of a safe, peaceful, and great Turkey begins with a 'Turkey without terrorism'."
