The Suadiye station of the Marmaray, which serves hundreds of thousands of passengers every day in Istanbul, was the scene of a distressing suicide attempt by a citizen this morning.

Following the incident, Marmaray authorities published an informational message for passengers on the social media platform X. The statement included the following expressions:
"Dear passengers, due to a distressing incident at the Suadiye station, single-track operations are being conducted, and delays are occurring in Marmaray services. It is kindly announced that our passengers should consider alternative transportation options to avoid being affected by the delays."
Due to the incident, trains operated on a single track at the Suadiye stop for a period. It was reported that after the completion of technical and safety checks following the delays in services, train operations resumed on both tracks.
