Suicide statement from the Al-Qassam Brigades!

The Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, announced that an Israeli captive attempted suicide in the place where they were being held and was rescued at the last moment.

The written statement from the Al-Qassam Brigades is as follows:

“A few days ago, we rescued an enemy captive who attempted suicide in the place where they were being held at the last moment. We hold the enemy and (Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin) Netanyahu personally responsible for the deterioration of the physical and mental health of some enemy captives.”

PRISONER EXCHANGE NEGOTIATIONS

Cairo prisoner exchange negotiations are being discussed in Cairo regarding a new ceasefire and mutual prisoner exchange agreement prepared under the mediation of Egypt and Qatar. Israel states that it will not send a delegation to Cairo without responding to Hamas's ceasefire proposal and that it does not accept ending the war.

High-level figures in Israel, primarily Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, reiterate that they will launch a ground offensive on Rafah, where at least 1.5 million Palestinians who have been forcibly displaced at least once have taken refuge in the southern Gaza Strip, despite warnings from the international community.

Hamas, on the other hand, demands guarantees for a permanent ceasefire that would end the war in Gaza in any prisoner exchange agreement to be signed.

"DISREGARDING THE LIVES OF CAPTIVES"

According to Israeli authorities, there are more than 130 Israeli captives in the Gaza Strip, some alive and some dead.

The armed wing of Hamas, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, had announced that the number of Israeli captives killed in Israel's attacks on Gaza had exceeded 70. Relatives of the Israeli captives and their supporters warn that an attack on Rafah "means disregarding the lives of the captives."
