Former Minister of Interior, Chairman of the TBMM Committee on Internal Affairs, and AKP Istanbul MP Süleyman Soylu has submitted a petition to the Speaker of the TBMM requesting the lifting of his legislative immunity.
Soylu filed the petition with the Speaker of the TBMM on Friday, July 26, requesting that his legislative immunity be removed.
SOYLU BREAKS HIS SILENCE
Speaking to Halk TV, Soylu broke his silence following his petition. Stating, "I have never spoken behind anyone's back; I wrote it very clearly," Soylu continued as follows:
“This is a clear petition, a clear application. There is no time limit. It means I am open to whatever information or documents they come with, whenever they want. We didn't find our honor on the street.”
