Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, who lost his life in an assassination in Iran, had called on all Arab, Islamic, and world countries on August 3 to take to the squares to support the people of Gaza and Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails.
In response to this call, thousands of people gathered at Hagia Sophia Square in Istanbul.
At the rally, which began at 18:30, the crowd chanted slogans such as 'Murderer Israel, get out of Palestine' and 'Free Palestine from the river to the sea'. During the event, the takbir was frequently recited. Extensive police barricades were set up around the area where the protest took place.
ISRAEL IS A NAZI REGIME
In the statements, it was said, “Israel is a Nazi regime. The genocidal US and Europe, which support Israel, are partners of this regime. The parliament that applauds Netanyahu is also a Nazi parliament.”
