Support for Özel from CHP Ankara Provincial Chair and 25 district chairs: Our leader is Özgür Özel

In a statement titled "The Hope of the People is the Republican People's Party and Our Leader Mr. Özgür Özel!", it was stated that "There is no doubt or taint regarding the will of the congress. This will cannot be overshadowed by any court decision."

The statement, signed by 25 district chairs and Ankara Provincial Chair Ümit Erkol, included the following remarks:

"The CHP is the party that founded the Republic. It is the Last Bastion against systematic attacks on the Republic.

Against these systematic attacks, the hope of the people is the Republican People's Party and our leader, Mr. Özgür Özel.

Today, the CHP is the country's leading party and is setting the agenda. It is a way out for millions struggling with crises.

At such a time, we will not allow those who want to create internal party chaos or those who chase after fake agendas to succeed!

We will continue to stand by the retiree, the laborer, the farmer, the tradesman, and the youth.

We will not disrupt the unity and solidarity of our party.

Under the leadership of our Chairman Mr. Özgür Özel, we will march on the path to power.

The will of the congress belongs to the delegates, and that will was clearly manifested both in the Statute Congress we held between September 6–9, 2024, and in the Extraordinary Congress we held on April 6, 2025.

There is no doubt or taint regarding the will of the congress.

This will cannot be overshadowed by any court decision.

We will never bow to the transformation of law into a tool of pressure or to efforts to wear down our party!

We will exercise our right to resist.

They will not be able to take over the CHP!

Our sole goal is to change this authoritarian, one-man regime and to establish the consciousness of democracy and freedoms.

We will resolutely protect our internal party unity and the common ground of struggle we will build with opposition forces."
