Support from Beşiktaş Municipality to the fire zone: Animal ambulance dispatched

The fire that broke out yesterday in the region between the Çınar district of Diyarbakır and the Mazıdağı district of Mardin was only brought under control today. The fire, which claimed the lives of 11 citizens—eight registered in Mardin and three in Diyarbakır—also harmed thousands of animals. Beşiktaş Municipality has dispatched an animal ambulance to the region, where cooling efforts have begun, to assist injured animals.

Beşiktaş Mayor Rıza Akpolat announced that they have dispatched municipal teams to Diyarbakır to assist injured animals.

Stating that the Beşiktaş Municipality Veterinary Affairs Directorate has taken action, Rıza Akpolat said, “We are immediately sending our Mobivet Animal Ambulance, which provides 24/7 service, to the region to rush to the aid of our animal friends injured during these difficult times. Our goal is to carry out the treatment and care of these innocent creatures as quickly as possible and ensure their safe recovery.”

In a brief statement, Rıza Akpolat said, “The fire that broke out between Diyarbakır's Çınar and Mardin's Mazıdağı has deeply wounded all of our hearts,” and continued as follows: “It is not only humans who are affected by this disaster; our cute friends, with whom we share the same world and live under the same sky, are also experiencing this pain.”
